For someone unfamiliar with the company, how would you describe Baby Tula’s mission and core offerings?
Baby Tula is an award-winning babywearing brand recognized not only for our baby carriers—made in unique, playful designs—but also for our commitment to promoting connection and bonding within families, and worldwide through education and community engagement. Through our various styles of baby and toddler carriers, blankets, and other accessories, we hope to help families continue to do what they love, stay connected to their babies, express their personal style, and find a community that supports them on their parenting journey.
What is the background of Baby Tula? When did it start and how has it evolved since then?
Baby Tula was founded by two adventurous parents, Ula and Mike. Baby Tula bloomed organically when their family grew as they traveled and set forth to live active lives. After learning about the positive benefits of babywearing, they searched for a comfortable, ergonomic, high-quality carrier that also spoke to their personal styles. When they couldn’t find a suitable carrier, they created one.
Dedicated to craftsmanship and design, they consulted with family, friends, babywearing experts, pattern makers, and chiropractors on their journey to making the first Baby Tula carrier. The result was a carrier that was elegant, easy-to-use, and most importantly, a carrier that allowed families to keep their little ones close while doing what they love. Now, Ula and Mike continue to work together, along with their extended Team Tula family to create comfortable baby carriers that are stylish and distinct.
What are the most popular and newest products from Baby Tula?
Our community is always excited about our new prints in our baby carrier and blanket collections; we know families enjoy the opportunity to express themselves in different and/or meaningful ways. Recently, we have been working to find more options for families that allow them to hold their baby close. Last year, we introduced the ‘Tula Coast’ carrier, a ventilated mesh option that provides additional breathability for warm weather or activities. This year, we have an exciting new carrier style coming out that we think will be a great option for families who are new to babywearing and parenthood.
What sets Baby Tula apart in the baby marketplace?
We believe we are well known for our unique prints and our use of high quality materials. But, we would also add that our carriers have very intuitive designs. A parent not only looks great in our carrier because they chose a print that expresses their personal style, but they also feel great because Tula Baby Carriers are easy to adjust and a comfortable fit for parent and baby.
What can parents expect from Baby Tula at the New York Baby Show?
We hope to have a fun variety of Tula Baby Carriers available for the attendees to see and feel, including our newest carrier style that we will be introducing to the market just before the show. Our team of babywearing educators will be there to answer your questions and assist with fittings. We are excited to connect with everyone and help new families!
