We spoke with a member of the Chicco team, Kristen Mansker Henson, to learn more about the brand and what new parents can expect at the New York Baby Show.

Tell us about the company’s background. When did Chicco start and how has it evolved since then?
Chicco was founded in 1958 by Pietro Catelli, an inventor and a developer of pharmaceutical devices. After the birth of his son, Mr. Catelli expanded his work into the world of baby products and dedicated himself to creating better solutions for parents and babies. Since then, Chicco has grown into a global brand with a presence in 120 countries, offering everything from baby gear to nursing, toys, apparel, shoes, and baby care products. In the U.S.A., Chicco specializes in baby gear products such as car seats, strollers, highchairs, and playards.
