We spoke with a member of the Crane USA team, Katie Sotor, Vice President of Marketing & Sales to learn more about the brand and what new parents can expect at the New York Baby Show.
For someone unfamiliar with Crane USA, how would you describe the company’s mission and core offerings?
Design for Better Living is Crane’s motto. Crane USA is mostly known for our commitment to style and design while also maintaining high quality and efficiency in humidifiers, air purifiers, fans, and heaters. Our Drop Humidifiers and Adorable humidifiers are our most recognized products and will be on display at the New York Baby Show.
Tell us about the company’s background. When did it start and how has it evolved since then?
In 2005, Crane exhibited at the International Home and Housewares show where we introduced, for the first time to retailers and consumers, a whimsical animal shape humidifier that not only worked well as a humidifier, but also added style and a friendly design to a child’s room. Within the first day of the show, we caught the attention of Bed Bath and Beyond, and Target. From there, we grew and became available in most major retailers in the U.S. We have international distribution in 15 countries throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. We continue to develop new designs, technology, and innovations in all our product lines. Consumer Reports often rank Crane as a top selling humidifier brand. In 2016, Crane expanded its Wi-Fi SmartHome series.
What are the most popular and newest products from Crane USA?
Crane’s blue and white Drop Humidifier is probably the most recognizable along with Crane’s Elephant and Frog Adorable Humidifiers. Newest in our product collections is our SmartHome Wi-Fi series, which includes the SmartDROP Cool Mist Humidifier. It’s the only humidifier on the market that includes a stylish humidifier stand. The Crane smartHOME series also has an infrared heater, a tower heater, an air purifier, and a fan.
What sets Crane USA apart in the marketplace?
