donateNYC is here to help New Yorkers “give goods, find goods, and do good!” Rather than discarding goods and instead actually donating or reusing, New Yorkers will reduce waster, conserve energy, and resources, and in turn help provide jobs and services to NYC residents in need!
And luckily, donateNYC will be at the 2018 New York Baby Show on May 19 and 20 at Pier 94.
Tickets to the New York Baby Show are $30 per family; $20 per individual. Children are free.
We spoke with a donateNYC team member about what to expect at this year’s Baby Show!
What should expectant and new parents know about your brand?
donateNYC is a program of the department of sanitation that makes it easy for New Yorkers to donate or find secondhand goods.
What’s new (in the past year) with your brand?
In the past year, we have expanded the donateNYC Partnership, which serves as “reuse trade association” supporting local nonprofit reuse organizations in New York City, to include more organizations that serve the needs of children and new parents.
What is your most popular service right now?
Our most popular service is our directory and app that helps New York City residents find the nearest place to donate or find secondhand goods.
Why should Baby Show attendees stop by your booth at the New York Baby Show in 2018?
Baby Show attendees should stop by our booth because we are a great resource in terms of donating the goods that you no longer need such as baby clothing or diapers. We make sure that these items stay out of the landfills and go to people who can use them!
Are you offering any special contests or discounts at your booth at the New York Baby Show in 2018?
We will be doing a giveaway of branded items such as tote bags, hats, shirts and more to people who follow us on social media!
