For someone unfamiliar with Once Upon a Farm, how would you describe the company’s mission and core offerings?
Once Upon a Farm creates the highest quality food on the market for little ones, with the smallest carbon footprint possible. We source local, organic, and non-GMO ingredients from farmers we know and trust, creating meaningful relationships, while supporting our communities. What is the background of Once Upon a Farm? When did it start and how has it evolved since?
Once Upon a Farm started in a mother’s kitchen. Cassandra tried to make all of her first daughter’s food, while simultaneously trying to be a mom and hold another full-time job. She found that doing all three was not realistic and took precious time away from her little one. She wanted to be able to go to the store and buy something that was akin to the high-quality food she was making at home. She was shocked to find it didn’t yet exist! She could find fresh pet food but no fresh baby food! Cassandra put her knowledge of HPP together together with her knowledge of nutrition and childhood development, sought out a strategic business partner and thus, Once Upon a Farm was born. It has since evolved from local farmers markets and local delivery to over 240 stores in just four months since launching.

What sets Once Upon a Farm apart from other baby and child food companies on the market?
We use High Pressure Pasteurization vs. High HEAT pasteurization, which allows us to maintain the safety of the product while also maintaining the nutrients, textures, colors and aromas of the original food.
