March of Dimes is committed to guiding mothers through every stage of pregnancy. They are fighting for the health of all moms and babies around the country by advocating for policies that prioritize their health and to help improve the treatment and care they receive.
Tickets to the New York Baby Show are $30 per family; $20 per individual. Children are free.
We spoke with a March of Dimes team member about what to expect at this year’s Baby Show!
What should expectant and new parents know about March of Dimes?
March of Dimes leads the fight for the health of all moms and babies. We support research, lead programs, and provide education and advocacy so that every baby can have the best possible start.
What is the overall mission of March of Dimes?
March of Dimes fights for the health of all moms and babies. We’re advocating for policies to protect them. We’re working to radically improve the health care they receive. We’re pioneering research to find solutions. We’re empowering families with the knowledge and tools to have healthier pregnancies. By uniting communities, we’re building a brighter future for us all.
What’s new (in the past year) with March of Dimes?
For over 80 years March of Dimes has been working to improve the lives of moms and babies across the United States. In recognition of that achievement, in early 2018 March of Dimes unveiled a new look and renewed dedication to lead the fight for all moms and babies with our ‘Won’t Stop’ campaign. We’ve continued to grow our advocacy efforts speaking out for policies that support maternal and infant health covering important topics like ACA and CHIP. In late 2017, we announced the location of our sixth Prematurity Research Center in London, getting us closer to a world in which all babies are born healthy. In spring of 2018, March of Dimes will launch a free app dedicated to education and support for families in the NICU, named ‘My NICU Baby,’ available in the Apple and Play App stores.
