What is the background of Mead Johnson? When did it begin and how has it evolved since then?
Mead Johnson was established more than 110 years ago by E. Mead Johnson, after leaving Johnson & Johnson, which he co-founded with his brothers. Mr. Johnson was driven by his search to develop feeding solutions for his young son, faced a life-threatening illness. That led to the development of Dextri-Maltose, the first clinically supported, physician-recommended infant feeding product in the United State. In the ensuing century, the company grew to do business in North America, South America, Asia and Europe.
What are the most popular and/or newest products from Mead Johnson?
The company’s Enfa family of brands, including Enfamil®, is the world’s leading brand franchise in pediatric nutrition. In 2015, the company launched new and improved formulations for the global Enfamil franchise. It also began implementation of important upgrades to our placing and product formats, including the introduction of plastic packaging and liquid product formats across Asia and Latin America.
