We spoke with KinderCare’s VP of Marketing Programs Jennifer Bae about what to expect from this top-tier brand at this year’s Baby Show!
What should expectant and new parents know about your brand?
Caring for your child is a huge responsibility, and KinderCare takes it as seriously as you do. That’s why we hire teachers who have a natural talent for caring for babies and children. These gifted teachers help kids of all ages develop a strong emotional core, which is exactly what they need to confidently go for—and reach!—the many milestones ahead.
Our infant teachers respond promptly to every coo, gurgle, smile, and cry your baby makes with kindness and compassion (just like you do!). Every child develops at their own pace and in their own way. We’re here for that exploration. We celebrate the big and small milestones—whether they come easy or we have to tackle some challenges to get here.
We love getting to know our families. We welcome everyone, and we create opportunities for children to see reflections of themselves—their beliefs, customs, and cultures—in our classroom community.

What’s new (in the past year) with your brand?
All of the important work we do is focused on making sure your child develops confidence for life. And it’s working! For the seventh year in a row, 2018 TerraNova results show KinderCare kids are more prepared than their peers for grade school, outperforming other kids in key areas like math and literacy. That means that kids get a huge leg-up on learning, which they carry with them when they leave our doors.
We start when they’re little: We have curriculum for babies, too! Your baby’s brain is in brain development prime time, just starting to make connections between themselves and the people and things around them. Our curriculum is designed just for babies to help build their brains with new sensory and language experiences.
What is your most popular product or service right now?
We’re very proud of our new STEM programs for children 3-12 years old rolling out across the country. You’ve probably heard a lot about how important STEM (Science, Technology, Education, and Mathematics) education is for your child, but what does that really mean?
Our STEM Innovators program takes kids’ natural ability to make sense of the world and applies it to robotics, chemistry, coding, geology, and more. Kids get to experiment with activities like learning how lemon juice and baking soda interact to uncover secret messages, watching fizzy reactions in action, and discovering how to use technology to do amazing things!
Why should Baby Show attendees stop by your booth at the Baby Show Series this year?
Where to begin? Our knowledgeable and wonderful educational directors and staff will be on hand to talk one-on-one, and answer all of your parenting questions. We have a fun play area with activities for kids to enjoy while you chat.
Kate Jordan-Downs, our Director of Education Programs will be at the booth, too. She’ll also be hosting two informative sessions about how to pick the best care for your child when it can’t be you. Check out the programming schedule or stop by our booth to find out more!
Are you offering any special contests or discounts at your booth at the Baby Shows this year?
No contests or discounts, but something very special! We’ll have a custom calligraphy station at our booth. Stop by and get a personalized print to hang in your child’s nursery or bedroom.
