A mother, noted doula, and all-around maternal wellness guru, Thomas has been a fount of information and inspiration as the founder of Mama Glow, and as the author of Mama Glow: A Hip Guide To Your Fabulous Abundant Pregnancy. Last year she was named to Oprah’s Super Soul 100 list of “awakened leaders who are using their voices and talent to elevate humanity,” and was featured on the November/December 2016 cover of New York Family.
The MOMS: Denise Albert & Melissa Musen Gerstein
By keep the parenting conversation real, Denise Albert (a “happily divorced” #IndependentMom-of-two) and Melissa Musen Gerstein (a happily married mom-of-three), also known as The MOMS, have built a media mom-pire, anchored by their weekly show on SiriusXM Stars, and their celebrity town halls in which influencer moms screen family-centric films and chat with celebrities about their lives as parents. All this while Albert, with Gerstein as her supportive “#WorkWife,” has been fighting breast cancer, and using her media profile to share her experiences and inspire and inform others. The MOMS were featured on the August 2016 cover of New York Family.
Pria Alpern is a clinical psychologist in private practice in New York City. She specializes in maternal mental health and perinatal mood disorders. Dr. Alpern works with mothers struggling with a broad spectrum of concerns, including depression, anxiety, and other emotional concerns that can emerge during pregnancy, birth, or postpartum. Dr. Alpern also has specialized training in helping parents heal from miscarriage, the loss of a baby, and traumatic childbirth.
A leader in the family care space, Lindsay Bell originally started with Lucky Lil’ Darlings in 2009, which at the time placed only on-demand evening babysitters. After acquiring the NY Nanny Center in 2013, the larger group was renamed Bell Family Company and now places all family care needs.

Tamara Hawkins is the director of Stork and Cradle, a New York City-based prenatal education group specializing in childbirth classes and lactation consultation, and is currently the president of the New York Lactation Consultant Association (NYLCA). A practicing maternity nurse and family nurse practitioner, she is also certified as a Lamaze Childbirth Educator, a lactation consultant, and a holistic health counselor.
Randi Jacoby is the director of Jacoby Speech Therapy Associates, a private group practice on the Upper East Side of Manhattan specializing in the treatment of all pediatric speech, language, and learning delays/disorders. She has been a lecturer at the 92Y Parenting Center for the past 20 years and has been a regular contributor to New York Family Magazine.
After working in various senior management roles in private education, Daniel Koffler co-founded Explore + Discover Early Learning Center, a pioneering childcare center in the Gramercy neighborhood of Manhattan in late 2013. He also runs a post-secondary support program for students with learning disabilities called New Frontiers in Learning.
FitBump founder Kira Kohrherr is an AFAA certified and ACE pre/postnatal certified personal trainer. She has also created FitBump T3: Targeted Trimester Training for moms searching to maintain a higher level of fitness through pregnancy and to actively prepare for labor.
I’m a mom of three living in New York City. As a former elementary school teacher, I spent my career working with children, and as a mom, I understand what families need from a caregiver. Julie Wright & Heather Turgeon
Julie Wright and Heather Turgeon are psychotherapists and co-authors of The Happy Sleeper: The Science-Backed Guide To Helping Your Baby Get a Good Night’s Sleep. Wright has created the curriculum and approach for the popular Wright Mommy and Me classes in Los Angeles.
