Tray Amigo Will Be Your New Best Friend At Mealtime And Playtime

As a parent, being able to place your child in a safe high chair and let them eat or play while you clean up is a great way to get small tasks done without worrying if your baby is in danger. However, if you are constantly picking up toys or wiping up spills on the floor, that time is lost and you end up with more work with which you started. A new company, Tray Amigo, is here with a wonderful product to keep your baby’s toys, Cheerios and sippy cups within hands reach and off the floor. Tray Amigo will be at the New York Baby Show on May 14th and 15th, at Pier 92.

The nation’s biggest show for expectant and new families, the New York Baby Show is a wonderful family-friendly mega-event featuring everything to do with maternity, baby, and toddler. From top products to trusted parenting experts, the New York Baby Show welcomes thousands of expectant and new parents from New York City, the Tri-State area, and beyond!

Tickets to the New York Baby Show are $30 per family, and $20 per individual.

We spoke to Valerie Stone, a member of the Tray Amigo team, to learn more.

For those unfamiliar with Tray Amigo, how would you describe the company’s mission and core offerings?

Our mission at Tray Amigo is to make life easier for everyone, and prevent those messy clean ups! Tray Amigo is a flexible barrier which easily attaches to high chairs, car seats, and toddler chairs.  It can also attach to wheel chair trays to avoid spills by patients, young and old.

What is the background of Tray Amigo? When was it started and how has it evolved since then?

The idea of Tray Amigo came about over two years ago. As a new mother to Gabriella, Jodi Bracho discovered what all parents know: keeping food and toys on the tray and off the floor is an ongoing distraction and annoyance for both baby and parent. Jodi searched everywhere to find a barrier product that would fill this seemingly obvious need but found nothing. She wound up making something herself out of cardboard and plastic. Baby and Mommy were thrilled. Everything stayed in place. Jodi was able to get things done without picking up food and toys every 30 seconds. Gabriella felt in control of her little play/eating space. Jodi told her friends, Valerie and Jeff Stone, who set about creating various prototypes, before finally settling on our final product, Tray Amigo!

What are the most popular and/or newest products from Tray Amigo?

Right now, this is our only product. In the future, we plan to enhance Tray Amigo with attachments.

What sets Tray Amigo apart from other similar companies on the market?

There is nothing else like Tray Amigo on the market. Existing products function mainly to protect the floor once items have already fallen. Tray Amigo keeps items from falling in the first place.

What can parents expect to see from Tray Amigo at the New York Baby Show?

Tray Amigo will be displayed on a high chair and a car seat. Jodi Bracho and Valerie Stone, owners of Tray Amigo, Inc., will be able to answer questions and demonstrate how to use a Tray Amigo. We have placed our first production order and expect delivery in several weeks. In the meantime, interested people can sign our email list.  Once we have received the Tray Amigos, we will send out a notification email which will also include a discount code.
