For someone unfamiliar with Venice Child, how would you describe the company’s mission and core offerings?
Our goal is to bring affordable yet high-quality and safe products to the juvenile industry and parents. I want a parent to be able to afford our stroller. I want each baby to experience a nice stroller and a comfortable experience in his/her new life. I don’t ever want cost to be a factor in a parent not being able to afford something safe, beautiful and comfortable for their little ones. Our products are made with some of the highest end materials that exist in the juvenile industry. Military grade aviation aluminum alloy for light and fast motions and to prevent breaking and corrosion. Designed with a streamlined frame so there are no screws welded joins that can easily break.
Our strollers are tested to EN and ASTM North American standard with SGS and Intertek. En1888 is more stringent that USA testings. It’s considered one of the best in the world. We use fabrics that have no lead traces in them, unlike Orbit and other big brands who have failed these tests time and time again.
We have carefully chosen the best to make our strollers, no cutting corners for profit. I just want people to get something good and feel good when they purchase our strollers.
Tell us about the company’s background. When did it start and how has it evolved since then?
We started out buying old Bugaboos and other brands, fixing them up and selling them to consignment stores. After doing this for three years you get a pretty good idea what not to do when making a stroller. We were constantly fixing what was wrong with the used Bugaboo, Peg Perego, Orbit, Maxi Cosi, Uppa Baby, etc.
Then we just evolved in wanting to design and make something that works, as we took all that was wrong in a stroller and turned out a better product. We later started retailing for most of the manufacturers, mostly in the Buffalo, Niagara, Toronto areas. We were selling a lot in Canada from the Buffalo area and our contract was cut due to retailers in Canada complaining that we were siphoning customers away, since Canadian prices were higher. When our contract got cut to almost nil, I decided to make my own products so I can sell to whomever I choose. It took me four years. I found a factory in China that helped me design what I wanted. I lucked out, because I found a factory that had the same values as mine; making a quality product, using the very finest to achieve a great product, avoiding cutting corners and following stringent quality control, giving the consumer the same as you would want for yourself.
What are the most popular and/or newest products from Venice Child?

The second seat will be debuting in October 2017, to convert to a double. I just want to make sure it will take the weight and not break like all these others out there when you add weight. Safety and quality mean a lot to me. I will do my best to bring the highest quality and safest strollers to market.
What sets Venice Child apart in the stroller marketplace?
We are offering a stroller that could be sold for $900 for $600. We are not selling the accessories separately, and we have a chic style that makes a mom feel good, because she is giving her child the best. It has a beautiful design that works, and it’s practical. We are also not a big corporation, and we interact with our customers on a personal level. We are trying our best to change the game up a bit.
